Hi, I’m Dakota! I am a 20 year old Psychology student at NAU. I love working with kids and I have a huge family of six siblings, so I am familiar with chaos. I adore animals so they’re not a problem! I was CPR and first aid certified, however they did expire and I have not yet renewed.

I have always had a passion for working with kids and hope to pursue that with my psychology degree.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taken care of two separate children from the same family starting from 3 months old to 4 years old! This now consists of watching a 4 year old and 1 year old at the same time.

For a separate family, I cared for three children ranging from 4 years old to 10 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking them to the park, playing board games, and I also love video games so if your child is into that, we could play together! Because of all the siblings I have (and I am the oldest) Im familiar with all the good kid movies too! I am capable of teaching and helping with homework and basic education.

My experience with special needs children...

One of my brothers is on the autistic spectrum and my grandmother works with children with behavioral issues. I have learned from my grandma and my brother. I have some experience with special needs children. :)

I am educated on autism specifically and how to handle feelings of being overwhelmed, sensory issues, coping, pacing, and self regulation tactics.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I got to set up a projector and watch a movie with a couple kids. We ordered ice cream and cheeseburgers, made a fort and watched the movie!
