More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a retired pediatrics CNA
CPR and first aid. I have been a CNA for over 20 years. I have also helped raise 3 of my grandchildren. Although I am in my 60's I still love working with children and inspiring them and making a positive difference in their life
Have taken care of infants from 4 months on
my most proud achievement is I have taken care of a young lady from 10 years old and walked her through high school being her parent and also helping her at home and taking to her to her all her boring events and helping her with her personal needs. I walked her through high School saw her graduate from high school and be able to walk down the aisle with braces on.
We practiced for 6 months so she could accomplish her goal of walking to get her diploma!! I was privileged and honored to see her 5 years later walk down the aisle to get married! I consider that one of my best and highest accomplishments besides raising my children!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Love doing crafts with children. Cooking, sports either taking two or playing with. Love doing trail walks especially in the spring and the Summer where we can pick up wildflowers and press them and do artwork with them do science projects enjoying nature swimming

The most important part about being a nanny...

Most important part of being a nanny is encouraging and supporting the parents giving advice if wanted. Empowering encouraging and challenging children to be honest kind and be the best person they can be! To inspire them to not be judgmental and hard on themselves or others. To encourage them to love themselves and others

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special needs children both physically mentally and emotionally. Mostly physically I've been a parrot in the school system for a 6 years. I have one young lady that I started with her in high school walked with her. She was in a wheelchair part of the time and then also had braces. Saw her graduate from high school. With a lot of physical therapy she was able to walk across the stage
