More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to my many years of babysitting and nannying, I worked for 2 years at Faith Christian Assembly as a daycare teacher assistant, where I cared for and supported children from infants to preschool age. I helped create a warm, structured environment that encouraged learning through play, crafts, and early education activities. I also worked at Faith’s summer camps, assisting with group activities, outdoor games, and creative projects for children of various ages. Currently, I work with Kelly Services as a substitute teacher, where I have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and abilities, including children with disabilities. These experiences have strengthened my ability to adapt to different needs, maintain patience, and foster a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for every child in my care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping children engaged with fun and creative activities that help them learn and grow. Some of my favorite things to do include reading stories, singing songs, doing arts and crafts, and playing educational games that build imagination and problem-solving skills. I also enjoy outdoor play like going for walks, and visiting the park ( if allowed). For younger children, I enjoy sensory play, and simple learning activities that help with early development. With older kids, I like doing age-appropriate crafts, baking together, or helping with homework in a fun and encouraging way. I believe in balancing fun, learning, and structure so every day feels exciting and meaningful for the children in my care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is making sure children feel safe, loved, and cared for. When kids feel secure and happy, they can learn, grow, and truly be themselves.
My experience with special needs children...
Through my current position with Kelly Services as a substitute teacher, I’ve gained valuable experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs. I’ve had the opportunity to assist students with a variety of learning styles, behavioral challenges, and developmental differences. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and flexibility in providing the right level of care and support each child needs. I take pride in creating an inclusive, encouraging environment where every child feels valued, capable, and supported in their growth — both academically and emotionally.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments is having dance parties with the kids I babysit. We turn on their favorite songs, dance around the living room, and just have the best time laughing and being silly together. It’s such a joyful way to bond and let them express themselves freely. I love seeing their personalities shine through when they dance — some get creative with their moves, others just jump around and giggle nonstop. Those moments remind me how important it is to make children feel happy, confident, and loved while keeping things fun and full of laughter.
