My mother ran a daycare where she cared for a 10 month old, a two year old, a four year old and a seven year old. I assisted her by prepping the bottles, and entertaining the two and four year old through interactive playtime. During that same time frame, I was entrusted with caring for my two year old cousin; dressing, bathing, playing with and feeding him.

I enjoy playing at the park either active activities such as soccer, basketball (poorly, may I add), or red-light green-light, reading them stories with funny voices, introducing them to old movies I used to watch as a child, and drawing with them/ teaching them to draw. I also enjoy playing video games with the older ones, and listening to their crazy school stories.
The most important part about being a nanny...
While I haven’t worked as a nanny yet, my experience as a teacher’s aide and paraprofessional has shown me just how important consistency and building a strong, trusting relationship with a child truly are. At the school where I worked, our mission was to provide a safe and nurturing environment that supported lifelong learning.
