Helping children develop well. To me this means teaching them to be kind, helping them learn fundamentals of math and reading when possible, making sure they're fed well, etc. Basically being a positive influence to them and making sure they're cared for well.

When I lived in Columbia I assisted my mother with caring for special needs children at our church in the city.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My niece is always drawing pictures of things I like or us together and she even signs them. This isn't one moment but a recurring one. It's one of my favorites though.
