A little bit about me

I’ve been experienced in a child supervisory role since my younger brother was born when I was just six years old. With two parents working full-time in healthcare, I learned how to care for, feed and nurture my younger brother. Throughout high school and college, I transferred those skills when I was asked to take care of my family friends children and other families children through referral. In the past year and a half I’ve garnered further experience taking care of two infant aged children. I take pride in how mindful I am of all the moving parts there are in childcare. Being observant of changes in mood and/or physical appearance and behavior, ensuring a safe, clean and calm environment, prepping nutritious and balanced meals, communicating in a gentle and receptive manner, planning fun activities that are beneficial to their cognitive development, keeping children on a healthy schedule, and updating parents on a frequent basis.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy them all! I love hands-on activities like painting, crafts and kids sports. I prioritize learning and critical thinking activities that involve language (reading, writing, speaking) numbers, memory, and so on. I also like to make up random games and challenges. I’m big on health (eating well/stretching/exercise), art (painting, sculptures, also cinema & photography) and music (all genres) so I’d incorporate all those as well in a kid friendly manner.
