The most important part about being a nanny...
if you ask me, the most important thing about being a nanny is creating a super fun and safe space where kids can totally be themselves and grow. It's about making sure they feel loved and understood
My experience with special needs children...
I've totally loved hanging out with some awesome kids who have special needs, like autism or ADHD. It's taught me how to switch things up so everyone can join in the fun, no matter what. I'm all about making a chill and happy place where they can just be themselves and totally rock it! Being patient and really getting what they need is super important, and I always chat with their parents to make sure we're doing things the way that works best for them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
so there was this one time I was watching these twins, right? They were obsessed with superheroes, so we spent the whole afternoon making costumes out of old bedsheets and running around the house "saving" their stuffed animals from the evil vacuum cleaner. It was chaotic, but their imaginations were on fire, and honestly, I think I had just as much fun as they did!

Live-In Full-Time Nanny Available in Boston, MA: Shaelyn S.
Hi! My name is Shaelyn (but I go by Shay most of the time). I’m 21 and I’ve been babysitting since I was 14 and have been a professional nanny for 3 years! I was raised the eldest of six kids, so I’ve been around and helped raise children of all ages all my life. My "nannying philosophy" is that I am simply an extension of whatever parenting methods you use in your family, however, I believe in getting onto a child's level to cultivate a better understanding of their needs and also to be a better nanny/ friend to each individual! The children I've nannying for have taught me just as much as I've taught them :) I adore kids, and love art as well, so crafts are some of my favorite activities to do with children, along with adventuring and exploring outside. I’ve been a nanny for 4 families, one with 4 kids, the eldest being 8 and the youngest being 3 months. I am fully vaccinated again COVID. I also have my own car and a clean driving record :-) Hope to hear back from you soon !
