The most important part about being a nanny is ensuring the child/children’s safety as well as making them feel loved and comfortable while mom & dad are not home. It’s important to maintain any needed communication with the parents as well as express any concerns or ask any questions.
My experience with special needs children...
I have a child that is Autistic so I am very comfortable working with children that are on the spectrum. I’ve also worked as a camp counselor where I was responsible for a child with ASD. I don’t have any experience as far as medically needy children, however if the proper job came where I needed to know that I’d feel comfortable learning.
