I am an energetic and compassionate 43 year old nanny with 10+ years experience. Due to the Covid 19 crisis, one of the parents I work for is being furloughed and they will not be able to keep me on. I’ve been with my current family since their first born was 3 months old. He turns two next month and they have added a little girl to their family. She will be 1 in June. I volunteer for Words On Wheels, a literacy focused nonprofit that works with infants and children living in shelters. We read and engage children ages birth-10yrs in learning play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I always enjoy being a part of special moments I get to share with the families I support. A particular memory that comes to mind is being there when my bosses brought their second child home from the hospital. I had been caring for their son since mom finished her maternity leave at 3 months. Shortly after I started she found out she was expecting baby #2. Being there to witness their 2 year old son meet his sister for the first time was truly precious. It was a time when I really felt part of the family and it is a moment in my career that I reflect upon often.
