Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

15 years of being a nanny, infant through special needs teens. I currently have cpr/first aide and several certificates in child development and special needs such as ADD, ADHD, ODD etc. I have worked for the last 3 years as a one on one homeschool teacher for a homebound student. I love working with children of all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading, playing games, going to the park, going to the science museum and other educational activities. I love sports such as soccer, basketball and baseball.

My experience with special needs children...

I have over 10 years working with children of all types of special needs such as ADD,ADHD, ODD, autism, deaf and many other diagnosis. I am extremely familiar with IEPS and following ADLS as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My most memorable moment is when a young nonverbal child with child was able to sign he wanted more to drink because before this he had multiple behaviors because he could not communicate with his parents or other helpers. I almost cried as the mother was so excited she now could communicate with her child.
