A little bit about me

Hello! My name is DeAnna, but my friends and family call me Dee. I’m currently a student at Ave Maria University, studying to become a speech pathologist, another step in my journey of supporting children in their development. My experience in childcare began long before my first job, by caring for my younger siblings and cousins. From a young age, I loved helping out; playing pretend games, reading bedtime stories, and learning what it meant to be a steady and kind presence in a child’s life. I started in a preschool classroom, worked in a kindergarten class, and finally I was working at a daycare, caring for children of various ages and learning how to adapt to their unique needs/personalities. Along the way, I became CPR certified to ensure that I could provide a safe environment for every child in my care. I'm currently available for a full-time/part-time position through the end of August, and I’m hoping to find a family where I can be a positive presence during that time.
