My professional background is in Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with degrees from Southeastern University and Capella University. I've spent years as a behavior technician and special education assistant teacher, working in schools, daycares, and one-on-one in families' homes — so I'm equally comfortable in a classroom setting or as a trusted presence in your own home. I've cared for children and individuals of all abilities, from as young as 2 up to adulthood.
I'm also a mom of three, so my experience isn't just professional — it's personal. I bring patience, structure, and genuine warmth to every child I care for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I feel that anyone who works with kids, or is in the 'care taker' field should always be client focused. We are there for them. So learning about them, structuring activities around their likes and dislikes, knowing as much as we can is truly the way to connect and grow within the caretaker role. I like to have fun. I like to go out and see the world, even if it's just to a local park. Being outside was halted for COVID and I am all about getting back out there and living life to the fullest.

My experience with special needs children...

Has been a fullfilling role im my life. Working in many settings has allowed me the rare opportunity to meet some amazing and very special individuals.

ABA allowed me to provide behavior therapy. Although that is a skill I cannot use outside of the proper rules, it has given me the skills needed to properly listen, and view a situation from all angles. Daycares, summer camps, special ed classes (assistant teacher), providing ABA in schools, and within the home. All with individuals with 'different abilities'. It's something I am drawn too

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although I am not truly a nanny, my experience with kids in different phsyical, emotional, behavioral, and academic abilities are made for fun moments at every point. While sometimes the road to geting to those moments can be challenging, at the end of the day, there is a sad feeling of having to leave and notcing that I cannot wait to come back.
