My experience with special needs children...
I grew up with a close relative who has autism, so we would all get involved in helping him as well as participating in awareness events such as 5k’s and volunteering at them! My grandfather (not a child, but who became childlike due to his condition) also had alzheimer’s and I learned to help take care of him early on as well!
The most important part about being a nanny...
was when I had a child yell to continue talking to me from her bedroom, when I was all the way downstairs, until she fell asleep every time that I babysat her because she enjoyed the activities that I always had planned except for the activity of participating at bedtime haha!
