Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My husband & I have raised 5 sons, and seen them thru college. 2 are married with their own families. My youngest is 20 and still in college. Also I am from a large family and have experience as an informal caregiver on and off for my nieces and nephews from their birth. They are now all grown.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy spending time with children. I enjoy talking with them, singing and reading with/to them , nature walks, watch TV programs, play games together etc.

The most important part about being a nanny is to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for the children in your care. To form positive connections with the children that will foster a sense of trust, comfort, and security. This helps the children feel seen & valued and supports their healthy emotional development. Also to engage with the children in age appropriate
educational fun activities that stimulate their cognitive & social growth. This could include reading, creative play, outdoor activities, and educational outings. And of course to maintain open and regular communication thru feedback with the parents to ensure that best care is being provided and according to expectations.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked as a Respite provider with Georgia Community Support & Solutions, an Affiliate of the GA Dept of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). I cared for individuals ( teens and young adults) with special needs in my home. Engaged them in activities such as going to the park, riding, swimming. Reading and watching movies together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I like to sing with the children. There were many fond times. There was a time when the kids were cranky and I called them to a comfy space in another room, we sang fun kids bible songs, eg "Father Abraham" with gestures and dance. Their entire mood and countenance became cheerful and happy.
Also, always the shared joy of experiencing the toddler take first steps and begin their journey of walking. The sense of excitement in that stage of development is exhilarating!
