The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny for me is that the child or children feel safe, protected, absolutely loved, understood and that even though they are little humans they matter. I’ve ran into people that have the mentality that because they are a child then they don’t deserve respect. Respect as such….when the adult speaks you shall listen but not so much with a child. A child deserves that same respect and to know that just because they are little that doesn’t mean that they aren’t just as important as such adult.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Once the kids were out of school due to the pandemic I had to take on a role of teacher as well. One morning I was working with the little boy (5) and we were watching a video that was a part of his work. I knew how he was silly so I restarted the video (which had music playing) and I hit record without him knowing. At the end of the video the music picked up speed and low and behold he started literally rocking out! It was hilarious and I still watch that video til this day!
