A little bit about me

Hello, I’m Dèjá. Originally from NYC. New to the New Haven area. I have former experience with all kinds of children. Particularly children with different disabilities such as but not limited to Down syndrome, ADHD, Autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorders just to name a few. As a mother to a disabled child, I believe I possess a different kind of patience most providers have to train for. I’m available to work from my own home(tour provided) or yours. I have a back yard with a gate for added protection. I’m familiar with different schedules, administering medications orally and injectables. I can make meals, help with potty training, assist with homework/ tutoring and basic life skills. And provide emotional support if needed. My temperament is always warm and inviting. And I treat other children the way I’d want my own child to be treated. Structure, fun and a loving environment for children ages 2-14.

Baking! Me and two children I was caring for made the best batch of shortbread cookies you’d ever have in your life on our first try! After they cooled we decorated them with all shades of green and reds for Christmas to give to their families. It was an aunt with their niece I was so proud lol.
