A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Deja and I have been working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old for about 3 years now. Working with children and learning about their development has always been a passion of mine. I love children and I am eager to work with them during their most important years. I have worked in two NAEYC accredited daycare facilities which has provided me with the opportunity to work with many different children. My favorite ways to express myself are through song and art which gives me a ton of variety when it comes to activities! Along with providing quality childcare, I have no problem helping with cooking/meal prep, light housework and homework if necessary. I come with First Aid, CPR and Med Cert training. I have only had experience working with special needs children in a daycare setting. Unfortunately, I do not have professional training. However, I am not opposed to working with children who have special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Working in a daycare you get the opportunity to work with children of all ages. My favorite thing would have to be working in preschool, teaching my kids to write. It’s rewarding to see how excited they are when they write their first letters and when they finally get their names down. All the cards they’ve signed for me after learning to write are some of my most prized possessions.
