More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 10 years of professional experience working with children, beginning with 4 years in daycare settings before transitioning into Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I'm currently a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and pursuing my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in ABA. My experience includes early childhood education, autism classrooms, tele-health, clinical settings, in-home services, and community-based support. I've worked with children of various ages and developmental abilities, helping them build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating fun, engaging, and meaningful experiences for children! Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, sensory play, reading, music, dancing, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, educational games, and age-appropriate learning activities. I enjoy incorporating activities that encourage creativity, independence, communication, and social development. I also love discovering each child's unique interests and finding creative ways to make learning exciting while allowing them to simply enjoy being kids!
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel genuinely valued, understood, and supported. I believe childcare goes far beyond supervision; it's about building trust, encouraging growth, providing consistency, and becoming a positive influence in a child's life. Every child deserves patience, compassion, and someone who takes the time to understand their individual needs. I also believe in maintaining open communication with parents and respecting each family's values and routines. My goal is to be someone both children and parents feel comfortable, confident, and secure with.
My experience with special needs children...
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I have over 6 years of experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, communication challenges, behavioral difficulties, and varying levels of support needs. I've worked with both verbal and nonverbal children in clinical, school, home, and community settings. My experience includes implementing individualized behavior support plans, teaching functional communication, promoting independence, supporting emotional regulation, and using positive reinforcement. I'm passionate about meeting each child where they are and providing patient, compassionate, individualized support that celebrates their unique abilities and progress.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Some of my most meaningful moments working with children have been witnessing their growth and celebrating milestones that others might consider small. Whether it's a child learning to communicate a need, becoming more independent, building confidence, or finally mastering a skill they've worked so hard on, those moments mean everything to me! I especially love the excitement on a child's face when they realize they've accomplished something. Knowing I've played even a small role in their growth is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. 💜
