I was an assistant teacher of the infant room at my first Daycare. And the head teacher of the 2 year old room at the Daycare I just left. Before 2021 I have been babysitting since 2012.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing shape/colour/number/letter games! I do activities to strengthen fine motor skills. And I do plenty of art to help stimulate creative and imagination! I also do interactive free play so they can learn not only to play by themselves but to share with others.
My experience with special needs children...
I have helped many children on the spectrum with opening up. From getting a third year pre-schooler to pass up to kindergarten. To getting one of the non-verbal toddlers to speak and start asking to play. I am still seeing one of my autistic kids from my last Daycare because his mother loves the progress I am making with him she didn’t want it to end!
