A little bit about me

I have been caring for children since I was 12, and spent many years as both a nanny as well as a cook during college. I have a BFA in Photography from SCAD, 3 years formal education in psychology and childhood development from Hunter College in NY as well as some culinary school in my background. I love learning and have a very inquisitive nature!
I have a passion for music, art, crafts, cooking, and animals (especially dogs!) Love outings to parks, story times at libraries, museums of any kind, finding safe, educational and fun things for your child(ren) to do. I am clean, affectionate, incredibly organized and logical and have a perfect driving record.
My goal is to help your child feel secure and happy while we are together. I care about the adult your child will become, so I have an eye on safety and personal development 100% of the time.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been working for a local family for the past 2 years caring for their child (currently 2 ½ yo) full time. They have decided to start preschool early and I may have to go down to part time hours with them, so I’m looking for something part time to supplement the hours. (Nanny share also possible)

Prior to this job, I was with another local family for 2 years caring for their 2 children (under 3yo).
I also worked in NY full time for an incredible family, helping to raise their daughter from when she was 6 months old to 5 years old.
I also have lots of experience as a part time nanny or sitter for many other families, typically with young children- newborn to age 8.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking children to the park, story times at the library, museums of any kind. I also enjoy taking young children especially out to run errands, etc. to help them learn about the world and how we behave in public. I also love crafts, reading, art and going on daily adventures!
I have done lots of gymnastics and swim classes with infants and toddlers as well and love getting to see them gain confidence and skill.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Taking pride in the adult you are helping to create! Healthy and secure development is incredibly important and I really love being a part of the process. The best jobs I’ve ever had were ones with open communication, mutual respect and willingness to learn from one another as well as feeling like a valued part of the parenting team!
