More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I started having and interest in caring for kids in 2018 i worked at a daycare, caring for children’s between the ages of 1-5. Since then I’ve cared for roughly 9 kids in a 2 year span. I’ve babysat for acouple hours at night while parents were working and and i have experience being a live in nanny for a summer (i am not looking into that however)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I like to do outdoor activities with kids like, going to the park, going for walks or riding bikes. However, since i am looking for evening work i do also like to interact with children by helping with homework, playing board games, videos games for the older ones, coloring and baking treats or letting the help cook.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important thing about being a nanny is making sure the kids always feel comfortable, safe and respected, as well as the parents
My experience with special needs children...
I only have one experience with a child with special needs. She had mild cerebral palsy so she wasn’t super mobile or verbal. However, she did like to learn together and we were able to have good times. I am very patient and respect how parents would like there child to be treated, whether they prefer laid back or strictly monitored sitting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most memorable moments with children i cared for was taking them to the zoo when they’re parents needed it the most. I was a live in nanny for one summer with a stay at home working mom. As everyone knows kids can be a handful so i took it upon myself to give mommy some peace and quiet and take the kids out. They had a blast and mom got to get some work done without worrying about the kids
