A little bit about me

I am a 44 year old mom of three: daughter aged 23, two sons aged 16 and 18. I have worked in daycare for almost 4 years with all age groups becoming lead teacher in infant room for 3 of those years. My last job was for three years as a nanny to two children, at start of job the oldest girl was 2 months old and then her brother joined the family 1 1/2 years later at which time i took over the care of him at 6 weeks old along with his toddler sister. I also have nannied for a sweet baby girl just recently from January 2024-June 2024. She was 3 months old at start of her care. I have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology with concentration on child development. I have been CPR/First Aid certified but I have to get my renewal done. I enjoy children and will treat them like they were my own. Nurturing and exploring activities for social/emotional learning is so very important. Patience is key as well because all children are different.

I believe in interactive play and imaginative play. I love to do learning activities and reading to them. I also love to do outdoor play with balls, water play, etc.

The most important thing is loving and nurturing kids as if they were my own. Giving them the undivided attention that they deserve is important as they are true blessings and are learning daily

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with special needs children in the daycare I worked in. One child had a portion of their brain missing that connected the two sides of the brain together and another child had cerebral palsy.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have loved to watch the latest baby girl I nannied for try to crawl. She would get up on her knees but then push herself up on her feet and push back. Also she would make these spitting moments with her mouth with jaws full of air and she would just randomly do it.
