In addition to my professional nanny work, I have cared for children in a variety of settings outside of work. I’m an active member of my church, where I’ve had the opportunity to help care for kids during events and gatherings. I also often help out friends and family by watching their children, which has given me valuable experience with kids of different ages and personalities. These experiences have helped me become flexible, creative, and confident in creating a safe and fun environment wherever I am.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being very hands-on with the kids, especially when it comes to arts and crafts. I always tailor activities to each age group so that they are both fun and a great learning experience for them. I genuinely enjoy anything that sparks creativity — whether that’s painting, building, or creating something new together. Helping kids express themselves through creative play is one of my favorite parts of being a nanny.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is making sure every child feels genuinely loved, supported, and safe in my care. I want them to see me as someone they can rely on someone they can come to whether they are having a good day or a hard one. I believe a nanny should be a positive part of a child’s growth, helping them through challenges, encouraging their strengths, and giving them joy. I never want children to feel like having a nanny is a burden, I want them to see it as a bonus, knowing they have someone who truly cares about them and is excited to spend time with them. I also value partnering closely with parents, following their guidance, and supporting their vision for their children so we can work together to give each child the best care and opportunities to thrive.

My experience with special needs children...

I have limited but positive experience caring for children with special needs. I’ve had the opportunity to care for two boys with autism on separate occasions, and I was able to follow their routines and ensure they had a safe and comfortable day. While my direct experience is not extensive, I am patient, observant, and willing to learn from parents and professionals so I can provide the best care possible for each child’s unique needs.
