A little bit about me

I am 1 of 5 children. I looked after my younger siblings as a child, babysat as a teenager, and moved to Florida to care for my sister's 4 children while she was in the military. I worked at several daycares & took college courses in childhood development. As an attorney, I represented children in court. More recently, I have cared for the children of 3 families on a part-time basis. This was usually after school or for a few hours in the evening, but also included overnights.
I love animals, was a docent at the zoo, and have had horses, Great Danes & cats, so I can deal with your pets if you have then.
I have been CPR & First Aid certified multiple times in the past. I am not currently certified as you need to recertify annually & mine has lapsed.

While I have primarily cared for children in their homes, I was a head start teacher at a daycare. I was also a court-appointed attorney who represented children in the judicial system in Connecticut.

I enjoy taking children outside, for a walk, to go swimming, to ride their bikes, go to the playground, etc., as well as teaching skills, such as baking, doing puzzles, reading, helping with homework, etc.
