The most important part about being a nanny...
For me the most important aspects of being a nanny are kindness, patience, and having an active imagination. Kindness is key to working with anyone. I believe in spreading positivity and showing love to my nanny kids. Patience is also principle as working with kids can be unpredictable. It’s important to keep a calm and collected demeanor when needed. Finally, imagination is an integral part of childcare. Kids are very imaginative and I like to meet them where they are at. I use my imagination to come up with fun and exciting ways to keep children engaged and learning new things.
My experience with special needs children...
I am trained in ABA as a behavior technician. I’ve received inclusivity training and completed many training modules related to special needs care. I also have experience with special needs children in a daycare setting.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to be when I was teaching one of my nanny kids swim lessons. Watching him become more comfortable with me and the water was very gratifying. It was so heart warming to see his confidence grow and his skill level improve over time.
