A little bit about me

As a dedicated nanny, my days are filled with laughter, learning, and hands on play. I have been a sitter for many years professionally for several families and for my own family. I have learned that babysitting is not just taking care of the child but also growing with the children and also learning from the child/children.

I am certified in CPR and also first aid. I have a bachelors degree in child development and I am fluent in both English and Spanish and know basic signs. I have 4 years of experience in school setting and 3 years in being a nanny/babysiter professional. In the schools where I previously worked I worked with infants up to grade school. With the infants and toddlers I would follow the feeding schedule and made sure that their diaper was changed every two hours as required. Also helping the children reach their milestones from tummy time, to crawling, to eventually walking and running.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a teacher in two different schools with different philosophies. in both schools I worked with infants-preschool kids.
I have also worked as a part time nanny for three years. and babysitting for other families on the weekends whenever they reach out to me.
I help the families with diaper changes, feeding, naps, and potty training.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities that I enjoy with children are going to park, coloring, drawing, games, dancing. Depending on the child's age I like to go on walks in their neighborhood on scavenger hunts looking for whatever comes to our minds in the moment.

My experience with special needs children...

I have some experience with kids with special needs. I know how to treat the child if they have any allergies. I am always making sure that whatever they are allergic to is no where near them. I also have experience with children with ADHD, I have learned how to calm them down and techniques that can help them focus or if they are feeling emotional techniques on how to calm them down.
