I’m a full-time university student at Dominican University looking for a part-time job opportunity. I’m fluent in English and Spanish. My mother has been a babysitter in North Carolina since 2014 and I had been helping her until I moved to the Chicagoland area about a year and a half ago. I also volunteered at a youth center through the ministry program at Dominican University.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My mother has been an in-home babysitter for 10 years so I have learned a lot by her side. I also have worked in two high schools in North and South Carolina as front office secretary. I have also volunteered at a youth center in the Chicagoland area tutoring students from 4-17 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

We play games like puzzles, building blocks, we watch movies, we listen to songs in English and Spanish.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is the impact you make in the little ones life. We become part of their lives and we are someone that they look up to, so it is our job to instill good morals and values, since we become like second parents to them.

My experience with special needs children...

With my mother, we have taken care of two little ones with autism. Just as their parents, we have learned together things that bother the little ones such as sounds, lighting and sometimes even touch. Figuring it out at first was a quite a bit hard but now I am able to identify these issues in order to best accommodate the way the little ones are best taken care of.
