More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have taught elementary, middle, junior high, and high school students for over thirty years, raised two of my own children, and taught a summer preschool class called Little People’s Playhouse when my own children were toddlers. I nannied when I was a college student.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy reading, singing, playing make believe or board games, doing art projects, going on walks, going to parks, libraries, and museums, listening, paying attention to, feeding, bathing, tucking in, and basically caring for children to help them feel comfortable, safe, cared for, and happy while in my care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
No one or nothing can replace unconditional, parental love, but having been a parent, I know what children really need and want above all is to be known and loved, and the close bond formed between children and nannies is the next best thing to the bond between children and their parents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Recently, I carved pumpkins with my almost three and six-year old niece and nephew, and we toasted the pumpkin seeds together. My niece planted some of the seeds in her backyard and thought she could give the pumpkins that grew from them to trick or treaters that Halloween night!
