A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Elif Yildirim. I am a teacher with extensive teaching experience with students of diverse backgrounds.
I gained my relevant nanny experience while working for a family with an 8-month-old toddler in New Haven Connecticut. Besides that, I worked as an Infant/Toddler teacher at a university daycare center in Massachusetts. I am a Massachusetts-certified Infant/Toddler teacher and love working with toddlers.
Throughout my teaching career, my priority has always been creating a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment. I have a strong understanding of child development and can prepare age-appropriate, engaging activities. I love working with children of all ages, especially, infants and toddlers.

I worked as a teacher for over 15 years. I worked with students diverse educational, ethnic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds and age groups.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love reading, writing, drawing, painting, cooking, gardening, traveling, singing, listening to music, doing puzzles, and playing board games. I love cooking recipes from other cultures, cuisines. One thing that I would love to learn is playing a musical instrument.

The most important part about being a nanny...

is of course providing a safe environment for them and then it is to know how to keep children engaged with meaningful, interesting and fun activities which help them develop their language skills, creative thinking and cognitive skills.

I worked with a hearing-impaired child and also worked some autistic children and some children with ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being out with children for an activity on a sunny day. Reading with children or seeing children learn something new or a new skill is really fun.
