I have been babysitting since I was old enough to be allowed, I have always loved children. I took my first babysitting course at 12 years old, I am now 31. I have babysit children of all ages and of many different kinds of needs (including special needs). I am a Certified Medical Assistant through Bryant & stratton college. I am CPR/First aid certified. I also have a daughter of my own. :-)

I have ridden horses since 5 years old, I have my own. I love hiking, music, singing, dancing, arts/crafts, painting, reading and cooking!

To me, the most important thing about being a nanny is safety. The parents AND children should always feel comfortable and safe!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with special needs children and adults. I have two family members with cerebral palsy. My mother is schizophrenic. I also have experiencing babysitting twin 3 year old boys with autism. My 6 year old daughter has a friend who is deaf so I also have experience there but do not yet know sign language.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when I got to help assist in the birthday planning/celebration. The parents had to work and needed help planning and decorating! It was so incredibly nice to be included in such a special family moment!
