Teaching love, respect, kindness, and caring for others. If I can install these values into a child that I care for, then that is the biggest accomplishment I can achieve. We must lead with example. There is to much negativity in the world. It's time for the next generation to change that, and as a Nanny it is my job to teach them that.

Oh so many. I love hearing the funny things that children say or the way they see the world. Examples, a 3 year old little guy I cared for was out on a walk with me. It had snowed the night before and it was a heavy wet snow. The branches on the cedar trees drooped low with the weight of it. I said to J, "Aren't the trees pretty? The branches look like they have icing on them. Do you like the icing?" To which he replied "I don't know Nanny, I never tasted it before." lol
Another time with a different 3 year old little boy, whom I had help raise since he was 6 weeks old, said to me one day as I was buckling him into his car seat, " Mommy's at work and Daddy too Huh Nanny?" I replied "yes they are" He then asked "Why don't you work nanny?" I quickly responded "well if I did, I wouldn't get to play with you" He looked up at me with a big smile and said, "Yeah, You sure are lucky Nanny!" They crack me up!
