well it's not really a nanny moment, I was a teacher in a classroom in a day care. It was nap time and we had a new child in the room and she didn't want to take a nap. I sat down on the floor next to her and started to pat her back just humming to her and telling her that I would still be there when she woke from her nap. I just kept Humming to her and she went to sleep. I found out that she had never had anyone reassure her that they would still be there. I did that everyday for 6 months until she felt safe enough to fall asleep on her own.
