More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was an infant and young toddler teacher (ages 2 weeks to 2 years) at a daycare until recently being laid off. Before covid, I was also a substitute daycare teacher and would go to whatever schools needed extra help in whatever classrooms they needed (ages 6 weeks to 4 years). I was also a nanny before covid for a 2 year old but when covid started, the parents were home and no longer needing care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I just really love being active with my kids and would love to take another child with us to play with my daughter! We go to music time and story time at the library, the farmer's market, Deanna Rose, Science City, and the Topeka Zoo (which currently has animatronic dinosaurs AND a new baby orangutan!!!!). When we stay home, I like to do crafts and music time with my kids, or let my daughter play outside with bubbles or balls.
When I was a kid, my parents were college students at the University of Florida and I got to have a lot of experiences where I learned about all different STEAM subjects and I really value that, so I want to give the same type of experiences to my children.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Is providing experiences. I really believe young children should be given the opportunity to have as many experiences as possible while they have the time before they are school-aged so they can start to develop relationships and interests early on
