More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
As of recent, I’ve worked with 3 separate families within the past year! This range has been from supporting an infant, to potty training a 2yr old, to identifying plants in Golden Gate Park with a 6yr old, to picking up a 5yr old & 13yr old then taking them to various classes & hosting rock climbing lessons with them! My range of child care is wide, I enjoy supporting a child who is a baby or a high school student. Working with kids is simply something I love & am passionate about. If you’d like to further chit chat with me, let’s get to it! I also have amazing references from all of these families I’ve worked with & loved every second of supporting their children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
-Tummy time with infants, helping them learn how to use & develop their tiny muscles.
-Utilizing the local libraries children programs such as baby bounce & family story time.
-Strives to read at least 20minutes per day to help cognitive development.
-Playing & socializing with other babies & kids at local parks.
-Exploring nature by sharing outdoor knowledge such as identifying plants, animals, & learning about natural environments while taking outside walks or hikes!
-Arts & Crafts to explore creativity & self expression. This ranges from drawing, clay building, fashion shows, playing music, & so much more!
-Exploring the kitchen by cooking & baking yummy recipes! Banana bread is a great go to for a fun recipe to tackle with a kiddo! As long as no one is allergic of course!

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is building trust—with both the child and the family. Kids thrive when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely cared for, and that all starts with a strong, trusting connection. I also think it’s about being consistent and showing up with patience, kindness, and curiosity each day. Whether it’s helping with developmental milestones or simply being there for the little everyday moments, I love creating a space where children feel free to grow, explore, and just be themselves—while giving parents peace of mind that their child is in loving hands.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My absolute favorite nanny moment has to be when I took Tollie—a baby I nannied from 6 to 18 months—to a delicious bakery called Forma. We went every so often, but clearly enough times that when a customer ahead of us walked by with a bag of pastries, Tollie would raise his arm as high as he possibly could and let out a long “Oooooooo” sound, implying that he would definitely appreciate a bite (or two!) of whatever pastry someone was willing to share. It cracks me up every time I think about it.

Hi! My name is Yazmeen and I am a 24 year old artist living in Oakland, CA. I have been working in education since I graduated from Cal Poly Slo in 2023 with my B.S. in psychology and minors in child development, studio arts, and ethnic studies. For work, I am substitute teaching, helping facilitate a mural workshop for a nonprofit (ages 14-25), and nurturing my painting practice.
