A little bit about me

My names Ella! I'm 22 years old and I love kids! I was previously going to Utah Tech University, but am now at Utah Valley University. I am currently in the Special Education progam, planning to become a Special Education Teacher! I've done tons of babysitting in my lifetime, I was a nanny last summer, and I've even worked at a home summer daycare for a few years. I also have worked with students with disabilities for quite some time, some which were a little bit older, which I loved, and is now what I am going into! My goal is to create a relationship that will allow the children to feel safe and comfortable with me, while still having fun!! Since I am in school, I can only nanny on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays when needed!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started volunteer working at a special needs school when I was in 9th grade and do it as much as I can! I also worked at a summer home daycare as my first job! I was also working at Techie for Life for about 2 years, where I helped students who were on the spectrum succeed in life, and help them with everyday needs, and school! I have also worked at a junior high in the special education classroom, and was a nanny for the Summer last year!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking kids to play at the park, play toys with them, taking them to thanksgiving point, take them swimming, the movies, an arcade, etc... I just love seeing when kids are happy and having fun!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is to make sure I take care of all the kids needs, keep them safe, and have a fun time! It's also a good way for me to learn life lessons for when I have my own kids!

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for many special needs! I've volunteered at a special needs school, I've taken peer tutor all throughout high school, was recently working as a mentor for students on the spectrum, nannied for a younger boy with autism, and was a paraprofessional at a junior high!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I just love watching children use their imaginations as they play! It makes watching them so fun! I also love creating those relationships where they feel so safe, and comfortable with me!
