As a full-time substitute teacher during the [phone number hidden] school year, I have gained valuable experience working in a classroom setting with students in the 6th to 8th grade. I had the opportunity to teach in a variety of classrooms with up to 40 students, providing experience in managing large groups of students and creating engaging lesson plans that are appropriate for the age group. However, one of the most rewarding aspects of my experience was my ability to connect one-on-one with individual students, providing them with the personalized support they needed to succeed in the classroom and outside of it. This experience has given me a strong foundation in teaching and working with children and has equipped me with the skills necessary to be an effective and caring nanny.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Every child is different, and it's important to find activities that align with each individual's interests and abilities. One of the most important aspects of creating a bond with a child is showing genuine interest and excitement about the things that they already love, while simultaneously encouraging them to branch out and consistently try new things. However, some of my favorite activities to do with kids are as follows:

- Gardening. This is of my personal favorite hobbies.
- Sports & physical activity (i.e. basketball, pickle ball, badminton, just going for a walk)
- Hiking & Nature. I am an avid hiker and backpacker. I was recently gifted a National Parks Passport and I think this would be such a fun activity to do with children as there are so many places in the Bay Area where you can go explore and learn (and get rewarded with a stamp for your passport).
