More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes working on a ranch where I taught kids how to ride horses and care for animals, teaching children's art classes, babysitting for families in my community, and volunteering in the children’s ministry at my church. These roles have helped me build strong connections with kids while encouraging creativity, responsibility, and confidence.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading stories, playing outside, going on nature walks, doing fun educational games, and helping with homework. I also love encouraging imaginative play, whether that’s building forts, playing dress-up, or creating their own little adventures!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children feel valued and understood. It’s not just about keeping them entertained or following a routine—it’s about being someone they can trust, learn from, and feel comfortable with. Building that bond allows me to help nurture their growth, encourage their creativity, and support their emotional well-being, all while giving parents peace of mind.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children has been incredibly meaningful. I’ve had the opportunity to work with children who have autism and developmental delays, and I approach each child with patience, understanding, and love. I do my best to create a calm, supportive environment where they feel safe and valued. I’ve learned that every child is unique, and I truly enjoy finding ways to connect with them and support their individual needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little girl I was caring for on a ranch brought me a drawing she had made in her preschool class. It was a picture of a horse, decorated with stickers and stick figures of the two of us—me showing her how to ride. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that melted my heart. That afternoon, we spent hours together caring for the horses—giving them baths, brushing their manes, and feeding them treats. It was one of those simple, joy-filled days that reminded me how special it is to be part of a child’s learning and growth.

Hi there! My name is Mia, and I'm a student at the University of Arizona. I'm looking for a job that fits with my school schedule and lets me do what I love most, working with children! I offer child care, pet sitting, and house sitting services. I currently babysit for a few families and often care for my younger siblings overnight, so I'm very comfortable with all ages. I enjoy fun, age appropriate activities to keep kids engaged and happy! I'm trained but willing to complete recertification for CPR and First Aid as well. I'm comfortable caring for up to two children at a time. I'm based in downtown Tucson, but I am happy to travel to surrounding areas. My rate may vary but I am open to discussion.
If you have any questions or would like to chat, please feel free to reach out, I'd love to meet your family! I do have my own vechile, can meal prep, and also help with homework!
