A little bit about me

Greetings! My name is Emanie and I’m currently a senior at FSU majoring in Special Education. I am an active executive board member for the Council for Exceptional Children Florida chapter. I’ve always had a passion for children, since I was a little girl. I can remember always trying to help my siblings with homework as if I was the oldest, even though I was the baby. I started babysitting in high school which after high school led to me working as a full-time preschool teacher. I was a preschool teacher for 7 years. In between that span, I nannied for a year. My goal is to one day have my own preschool to meet the needs of my students with disabilities. I enjoy being a part of the developmental stage of the child. At the developmental stage there is so much to be learned and I love being that person to aid in the learning process. Some of my favorite things to do with children are sensory play, arts and craft, science experiments, cooking activities, and spending time outside.
