What matters to me about being a nanny is that I'm not here to control anyone that allowing and holding space is the most important especially with kids to have their own expressions and experience. I am here to be a guide and help kids navigate situations safely. So that being said what is most important is communication. Communicating clearly what is being asked or expected.

One of my favorite nanny moments is when the kids don't want me to leave. I find that to be very rewarding in the sense they had such a good time. Also when I took one of the kids to a library event the other mom's were there and the little boy I was looking after kept saying "she's not my Mommy" to let everyone know. Kids and their honesty. Love it.
