When I am away at college I work part-time at a local daycare in Newport, Rhode Island. I have also gained a lot of wonderful experience working with kids by observing teachers in the classroom, assisting teachers in the classroom, and partaking in a one on one peer tutoring and mentoring program. I have had experience working with kids spanning from 1 year old to 10 years old!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do anything crafty. One of my favorite experiences working with children is getting the opportunity to create fun activities for them. Once I know the children's interests I usually plan activities based off of those! I am always thinking of new and exciting ways to keep the kids entertained. I enjoy doing a range of activities, spanning from favorite board games, arts and crafts or playing outside!
