Hi!
My name is Emily. I am a speech pathology student and have worked in childcare for close to three years now. I’m CPR certified, have strong references, and am vaccinated and boosted.
When working with kids, I focus on child-led interactions within safe boundaries, encouraging creativity, and helping them grow their problem solving skills. I also help children develop strong emotional resilience so they can deal with big emotions in an age-appropriate, productive, and healthy way. I really enjoy building language skills in children, so I am consistently communicating with them whether through speech, baby ASL if age appropriate, or books. I also involve children in a lot of outside play, sensory experiences, and large- and fine- motor skill development. I have experience with pets and can handle cooking and housework. I enjoy collaborating with parents to make an environment that will be successful for everyone involved.
