More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I grew up with two little sisters that were 13 years younger than me. That is how I got my start, babysitting them from newborn stage to 3rd grade. This is where I discovered my passion and talent for nannying.

I also have 5 years of paid babysitting and nanny experience.

I was a live in nanny for about 2-3 years for 2 little girls from the infant stage to toddler stage, and also nannied for two other families. One had a 2-3 month old, the other had 3 children between 1 and 5.

I also worked with an app called Wyndy, where I worked with over 12 different families for both babysitting and temporary nanny positions. I have a perfect 5 star rating and many families returned for my services.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing a wide variety of activities with children. I have done everything from imagination-based games such as pirates and princesses, gone on walks and to parks, watched movies and tv shows, played boardgames and with doll houses, etc.

Typically each child has a set of activities or toys they really love to use, so when I'm first getting to know a new child, I allow them to show me what they are naturally drawn to and get excited over and cater to them and the parents boundaries and guidelines.

I find a lot of joy in playing with the kids and I know how important love and attention is for a child, so I take pride in giving them my all. One of my unique talents is being able to tap into my inner child while interacting with them so I can fully relate to them and bring them joy, while also maintaining my role as a role model and disciplinarian when need be.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say patience, kindness, and leading from love. There are a lot of different personalities in children and they have big emotions they are learning how to regulate. So I believe that having patience and compassion for how each child interacts with me, their siblings, and other children or events is key to building trust with a child and guiding them to having a great experience.

Additionally, I utilize my 2 strengths often: empathy and work ethic.

My empathy helps me not only maintain my emotions and patience with small children who are still learning to regulate their emotions, but also empathize with the many challenges the families go through financially, personally, romantically, platonically, and professionally. I help take the load off the parents shoulders.

My work ethic is based in: "Don't leave until the job is done" rather then a time stamp. I believe in ensuring safety and comfortability before leaving my shift.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments is after a big day of playing, activities, teachings, and moments together, at the end of the day the child is relaxed, we've built trust and companionship, and we're reading stories at the end of the night together before bedtime.
