A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Emily! I have 5 years of experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and I’m passionate about creating nurturing, structured environments where children feel safe and supported.

I’ve completed 183+ hours of formal early childhood training, including trauma-informed care, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), autism and special needs support, Safe Sleep/SIDS prevention, Positive Guidance, the Pyramid Model, and Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines. I am CPR and First Aid certified through the American Red Cross.

My approach blends gentle parenting with consistency and clear boundaries. I prioritize emotional regulation, respectful communication, and learning through play. I’m seeking full-time or part-time work with a family who values warmth, professionalism, and intentional care. 🤍

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have 5 years of experience working with children in Head Start, daycare settings, and as a private nanny. In these roles, I cared for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, followed structured daily routines, supported early learning and developmental milestones, and maintained safe, nurturing environments. I’m also CPR/First Aid certified and have completed 183+ hours of early childhood training.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy planning hands-on, Montessori-inspired activities that encourage independence, curiosity, and confidence. I love incorporating practical life skills like pouring, sorting, food prep, and cleaning alongside sensory bins and fine motor work.
I also enjoy introducing simple science-based activities such as nature walks, observing plants and insects, water experiments, color mixing, magnet play, and basic cause-and-effect exploration. I focus on child-led learning, allowing children to explore at their own pace while guiding them with structure and intention.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, consistent environment where a child feels secure enough to grow, learn, and be themselves. When trust is established, everything else falls into place.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments is watching a child master something they’ve been working on independently, whether it’s pouring their own cup of water without spilling, putting on their shoes by themselves, or calming their body after a big emotion. Seeing that spark of pride and confidence on their face is so special. I love being a steady, encouraging presence while they grow into their independence.
