I’ve worked in the daycare/nanny environment for 6 years, prior to this I was a camp counselor for troubled youth and children with medical concerns, I’ve also worked with adults with mental and physical disabilities, and am currently employed as a Med Tech in a memory care unit

I really enjoy answering kids questions about why/what things are. I love to participate in sensory play, kids learn through hands on experiences and play. I aim to avoid screen time and connect with the outside world as much as possible.

Having empathy, compassion, patience, and understanding. Children are people too, they think and feel things just like us, and deserve to feel seen and heard.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I love identifying emotions with children, without labeling them. I was having a conversation with a 3 year old I nannied for where he asked me to pretend to be a bad dog, I said “Ive never met a bad dog, I don’t know how they act.” He said they growl. I asked if it was possible that the dog could be mad or sad, the 3 year old paused and replied “he’s a sad dog”
