"I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Emily Vines. Ms. Vines has worked as a nanny for my family for the past six months and has proven herself to be reliable, respectable, and caring. She has performed each duty asked of her and has exceled in her key role of caring for my four-year-old son. Emily is empathetic and has developed a positive relationship with my son, which has enabled her to calm him down when he is upset and provide a safe and nurturing environment.
My family decided to hire Ms. Vines as a nanny based on her professionalism, eagerness, and previous work experience. Thus far, she has exceeded expectations and I highly recommend her as a nanny. I am confident that she can provide a safe, creative, and nurturing environment for any family."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I taught English as a Second Language to children aged 5-13, and I currently teach swim lessons to all age groups.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing games—ranging from card games to board games, make-believe games to physical games (like tag!) I am an expert. I also love to read books to and with children—I’m a professional with silly character voices. Childhood literacy is one of my passions, so promoting literacy, especially bilingual literacy, is a focus of mine. Arts and crafts are also a favorite of mine—I’m very hands on and love to see kids learn how to create something unique and take pride their creativity (no matter how it looks!).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Similar to why I became a teacher, I want to nanny because it is an opportunity to support children on their way to becoming responsible and kind adults. The most important part about being a nanny for me is modeling kindness, generosity, curiosity, and authenticity and helping children learn how to love themselves and others as they grow up.
My experience with special needs children...
I have taught children who have autism, ADHD, and various different learning abilities; I also have experience providing care for adults with autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The 4 year old that I nanny, E, waits for me at her front door when she knows that I am coming. As soon as I arrive, it is okay time! Knowing that she is waiting for me and seeing her pure joy when she sees me is my favorite moment—it exemplifies the relationship we have built over years together and all of the fun memories we’ve made along the way.
