A little bit about me

I have 8 years experience as a full-time Nanny to children ranging from 3 months-16 years old. I believe children thrive in an environment where they feel loved and believed in. I foster outdoor and imaginative play, crafts, and am not afraid to get on the floor with the kids. Building character and social and emotional skills is a large focus of my interactions with the children I serve. I use teachable moments throughout each day to push children to become their best possible selves. When it comes to learning, I incorporate foundational reading and math skills through play based on each child's interests. While every child is different, so far, all four of the infants/toddlers I have worked with were able to read prior to starting kindergarten. I have experience potty training, building meal and nap time routines as well as balancing complex schedules (e. g., after school activities, sporting events, play dates, etc.). CPR certified.
