A little bit about me

Hi, Im Emma! I am CPR and First Aid certified! I've been babysitting since I was 9 in my mother's home daycare. During high school I took Child Development and Early Childhood courses where we created lesson plans for preschoolers to help them prepare for kindergarten. After I graduated at 16, I worked in a home daycare where I was responsible for 4-8 children at once, between the ages of 10 months and 5 years old. I am currently studying physiology online to get my degree. In the long run, I'd like to work as a therapist for kids with Downs. I have a 6 year old brother with downs who is my everything. In life I want to help kids like him. I have experience with kids with special needs and multiple children at once, & I also have experience with twins and infants! For a year and a half I worked part time for a family with twins. They we're 14 months when I started and 2.5 when I moved on to work full time. I also worked full time for 2 families in a nanny share with twin Infant girls and twin 3 year olds! The infants we're only 8 weeks when I started! Since then, I've done multiple temporary jobs, which brings me to my current job, a temporary full time position that ends soon with an infant baby boy who is 6 months old. I am looking for a family that has needs that match mine. Not just a "job" but someone you can rely on and trust with your children! My past experiences have taught me to be patient, kind, understanding, and gentle. I encourage children to be active and creative. I enjoy helping them bake, do arts and crafts, learn, and explore the world! My favorite things to do with kids is taking them to the children's museum, the zoo, the park , the library, and much more!
