More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am currently a Teacher at La Petite Acedemy in Charleston SC, I have worked at Outback Daycare, ABC, Early Childhood Program, Gol Gol Preschool, Wentworth Preschool in Mildura VIC Australia. I have Babysat so many children for families as a teenager and adult back home in Aus and here in Charleston for Friends. I worked as an Au Pair for a single Mum of 2 boys ages 2 and 5 in 2014 for a year.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love art projects and sensory projects like whipped cream in sand and obleack painting. Bubble wrap art, physical obstacle coarses, busy bags, fine motor activities such as scissors, picking up and sorting pom poms, ribbons through toilet paper holders, stories, dancing, games. All sorts of things, worksheets, colouring, playdough, science experiments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most about being a Nanny is having the children in an environment they are familiar with, keeping them safe and comfortable while giving them an education, routine, experience and fun. Being a Nanny is about being there for the children and parents as a guide to help with achieving milestones and developing their skills and progressing with developmental factors.

My experience with special needs children...

I haven't really worked with a kid with a diagnosed special need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I loved one night as an Au Pair my two boys wanted to surprise their Mum with a movie night for her birthday so we spent the afternoon prepping their living room and turning into a movie theatre, with a consession stand with popcorn and MnMS and York patties etc. With their toy cash register setup Their was a ticket booth (we hand made some tickets also), we had the couch and pillows set up with their toys as other people in the theatre. when she came home the boys jumped out and yelled surprise and we had her go through the motions of buying a ticket, getting snacks and sitting to watch the movie. It was pretty awesome since the kids had thought of it themselves and we had a blast building it and getting it organised.

Hello! I just graduated from Barton College in North Carolina with an exercise science degree. While earning this degree I was a nanny for 6-month-old twins as well as their 2-year-old sister! I LOVED my job and want to continue nannying while applying to graduate school at the Medical University of South Carolina to become a pediatric physical therapist. I am a certified nursing assistant as well as certified in CPR. My passion is pediatrics and helping kids learn and grow while still having fun. I have my own car and I love pets! I have just moved to Mount Pleasant and am looking for a full time position.
