During my before/after school program I worked 1-1 alongside a gifted, non-verbal student with ASD in 2nd grade.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments were always the little surprise leg hugs I'd get while I'd be changing another child on the diaper table. It was always really funny when the babies insisted on being my little helpers when it was time to tuck everyone in for nap time and pat kids to sleep. The best parts of working as a toddler teacher had to be observing their innate curiosity and teaching them everything they wanted to know no matter how many times I had to repeat it! Lol!
