More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of hands-on experience caring for children in both professional and personal settings. While in college, I worked at a daycare where I cared for children ranging from infants to preschoolers. I was responsible for creating a safe and engaging environment, leading educational activities, assisting with meals and naps, and helping support each child’s social and emotional development. In addition, I’ve worked as a CBRS worker and physical therapy technician, where I supported children with behavioral and developmental needs through one-on-one care and structured routines. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in child development, patience, and the ability to adapt to each child’s individual needs while maintaining open communication with families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing fun, hands-on activities with kids that let them be creative and just enjoy being themselves. Some of my favorites are arts and crafts, playing make-believe, reading books together, and getting outside for walks, park trips, or backyard games.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with children who have special needs through my roles as a CBRS worker and a physical therapy technician. In these positions, I provided one-on-one support for kids with a range of developmental, behavioral, and emotional challenges. I helped implement personalized goals, encouraged positive routines, and used play-based activities to support social skills, communication, and emotional regulation.

Ashley A. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Part-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: Ashley A.

Hi, I’m Ashley! I believe the best nannies become an extension of the family, and that’s exactly the role I’ve had the privilege of filling for the past three years. Working for a single father taught me the importance of being dependable, proactive, and creating a calm, loving environment where children can thrive. I enjoy planning outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, reading, and activities that encourage curiosity and confidence. Whether I’m helping with school routines, after-school activities, household organization, or simply being a trusted, caring presence, my goal is to make life a little easier for parents while creating happy childhood memories. I’m looking for a family where I can build a long-term relationship and provide the same level of care, dedication, and support that I brought to my previous family.
America M. - Seeking Work in San Diego

Part-Time Nanny Available in San Diego, CA: America M.

Hi! My name is America, I am a current undergraduate student at Brown University who is looking for an engaging and fun summer job while back in my home town! Furthermore, as a native Spanish–English speaker and the middle of three children, I’ve spent years helping to care for my younger and older siblings—everything from preparing snacks to inventing games—and growing up in a house full of dogs and cats means I’m completely at ease around pets. I’m comfortable attending to dietary needs, keeping a tidy space (toys, meal cleanup), and tailoring activities that spark creativity and support developmental milestones.
Academically, I’ve honed my patience and teaching skills as a high-school math and social-studies tutor, and here at Brown I split my focus between advanced Spanish coursework and computer-science projects—so I know how to design fun, engaging learning moments and troubleshoot challenges on the fly.
